In an interview held in November 2023, Mr. Aerdt Houben – Director of Financial Markets Division of Dutch central bank (DNB) shared some interesting remarks on how DNB equalized its gold reserves, relative at a rate to Dutch GDP, to other countries of Eurozone and outside of Europe. According to his statement, official gold reserves can be used as foundations for new gold standard.
