Wildflowers of Australia silver coin: Waratah 1 oz Silver 2022 is the first piece in the Wildflowers of Australia series. The series will consist of silver and gold bullion coins themed around Australia's native flowers.
The 2022 coin depicts the beautiful red Waratah flower, which grows in Australia, New South Wales and Tasmania. The plant can reach up to 4 meters high in eucalyptus forests and mountainous areas. Waratah has 5 species, the most recognizable of which is Telopea speciosissima.
The bullion coin was struck from pure Ag silver.999, with a weight of 1 troy ounce and a diameter of 40mm. Its print run is limited to 50,000 pieces. The renowned precious metal producer Royal Australian Mint is responsible for the production of the silver coin.
Obverse the coin depicts the image of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain along with information on the year of mintage, weight, proof and country of issue. The designer of the obverse was Jody Clark.
On the reverse side three Waratah flowers were placed. In addition, the reverse side information about the face value of the coin. The designer of the reverse was A. Stokic.
