Treasured Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Silver 2025 Polar Bear Privy Mark
The Canadian Maple Leaf Treasured 1 oz Silver 2025 Polar Bear Privy Mark is one of the most recognisable bullion coins in the world. It is a currency that has been produced continuously since 1988 by the renowned Royal Canadian Mint.
Each piece, featuring the botanical symbol of Canada, is struck from pure Ag.9999 silver, weighing one troy ounce and measuring 38mm in diameter. The product is delivered in its original packaging. In addition, each silver leaf is guaranteed by the Government of Canada and is full legal tender in the issuing country. Walter Otto is responsible for the design of the silver coin, which has remained unchanged over the years.
The silver coins have been part of the Bullion DNA Anti-Counterfeiting Technology programme since 2015, which makes it easier to verify the authenticity of the coins. What's more, since 2018, the pieces have been equipped with MINTSHIELD™ surface protection, the world's first proven approach to reducing white stains. This programme provides security, and guarantees the originality of all coins in the collection.
The obverse bears the likeness of King Charles III, the denomination and the date of issue. As of 2015, additional security features include radial lines in the background of the coin.
The reverse of the coin depicts the maple leaf, which is Canada's national symbol, the special mark - the 'Polar Bear' - as well as the proof in which the coin was struck and the name of the country in which it is produced. The coin's design was created by Walter Otto.
