Maui and the First Dog: 2020 Proof 2 x 1 Ounce Silver Coin Set is a set that depicts one of the main characters from Hawaiian mythology, Maui and New Zealand's First Dog. Maui possessed the qualities of a creator god. The coins have a denomination of 2 x 1 Dollar. The set has a limited edition of only 400 pieces. This set will be an excellent addition to any collection. Both coins are inlaid with gold.

Valor was produced from pure Ag bullion.999 with a diameter of 40 mm, standard proof. The B Mint is responsible for the production of the coins. H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt GmbH, commissioned by the New Zealand Post. Coin set comes with original certified packaging.

Obverse shows the image of Queen Elizabeth II and information about the minting date, weight and purity of the bullion. The designer of the obverse was Ian Rank-Broadley.

On the reverse side one of the coins depicts a woman with the First Dog, while the other coin shows an image of Maui. The reverse side of the coins shows the face value. The designer of the reverse was Dave Hakaraia.
