Kiwi 5 oz Silver 2021 Proof
The Kiwi 5 ounce Silver 2021 Proof collector coin is a combination of silver and gold, but also combines quality workmanship along with uniqueness of design. The 2021 five-ounce coin is minted on behalf of New Zealand Post by B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt GmbH. The coin has been minted since 2004 in the Kiwi collector's series.
The "Kiwi 5 Ounce Silver 2021 Proof" coin is minted from pure Ag silver.999, with a weight of five troy ounces and a diameter of 65 mm, in standard proof. This unique coin is produced in a limited edition of only 350 pieces. What's more, each piece comes in an elegant package with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
Obverse the coins are decorated with the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a crown and include information about the date of issue, country of issue, weight and purity of the bullion. The designer of the obverse was Ian Rank-Broadley.
Reverse depicts a brown kiwi in a burrow with two eggs. It is worth mentioning that the image of the title bird is covered with a thin layer of gold. The designer of the reverse was Stephen Fuller.
