Canada: 100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force 7 Coin Silver 2024 Proof Set
The coins are minted in Ag.9999 sterling silver and have denominations - 2 Dollar, 1 Dollar, 50 Cent, 25 Cent, 10 Cent, 5 Cent, in addition the 1 and 2 Dollar come in gold plated and proof standard. In order of highest denomination, the products have weights and diameters: 9 g and 28 mm, 23.17 g and 36.07 mm, 7.89 g and 26.5 mm, 9.37 g and 27.13 mm, 6 g and 23.88 mm, 2.45 g and 18.05 mm and 5.4 g and 21.20 mm.The piece comes with individual certified packaging. This remarkable set was produced by The Royal Canadian Mint, in an edition of 25,000 pieces. The coins are guaranteed by the Government of Canada as to its legality, purity of bullion and origin of metal, and are full legal tender in the issuer's country.
The obverses depict the likeness of King Charles III, as designed by Steven Rosati.
The reverses are marked with the year, denomination and country of issue. The main gold-plated coin shows a maple leaf and aircraft belonging to the RCAF. The reverse was designed by Jason Bouwman. The other denominations depict, in turn, a polar bear, the 'Common Loon' duck, the Canadian coat of arms, the 'Caribou' reindeer, the 'Bluenose' sailing ship, and a beaver.
