Product Big Five II: Lion 2 x 1/4 oz Gold 2022 Proof set is a set containing coins that are the second installment of the second series - Big Five II. The first series was very popular with collectors and merchants. The limited series of Africa's Big Five is made up of animals - elephant, lion, buffalo, rhino and leopard. The coin shows an African lion, which is considered the king of all African animals.

The coins were struck from pure Au bullion.9999, with a weight of 1/4 troy ounce and a diameter of 22mm, in standard proof.

The currency was produced by the renowned mint, The South Africa Mint, and is official legal tender in the country of the issuer. The entire series is guaranteed by the South African government as to the legality, purity of the bullion and the origin of the metal.

The set has an edition of only 1,000 pieces and individual, original packaging.

Obverse shows the head of an African lion and the inscription "SOUTH AFRICA", "BIG FIVE 2022" and the South African coat of arms.

On the reverse side two halves of the lion's head are depicted. The reverse side bears the inscription "FIFTY RAND" and information about the weight and purity of the bullion. By arranging several coins in one position, it is possible to depict a whole herd of lions.
