Obverse shows the head of a leopard and the inscription "SOUTH AFRICA", "BIG FIVE 2020" and the South African coat of arms.
On the reverse side two halves of the leopard's head are depicted. The reverse side bears the inscription "FIFTY RAND" and information about the weight and purity of the bullion. Arranging several coins in one position, it is possible to present a whole group of leopards.
