Banknote Ukraine 200 Hryven (200 UAH) Circulated 100 pieces
The 200-hryvnia banknote was designed as a tribute to Lesya Ukrainka, a prominent poet and activist for Ukrainian independence.
The banknote measures 148 x 75 mm and pays homage to Ukraine's cultural heritage.
On the front of the banknote is a portrait of Lesya Ukrainka (1871–1913), one of Ukraine's most distinguished writers and social activists. Her poetry and plays have become symbols of national identity, reflecting the spirit of Ukraine's fight for freedom.
On the back of the banknote is an image of the Castle Tower in Lutsk, a medieval structure symbolizing national pride and history. Dating back to the early 15th century, this castle is one of Ukraine’s best-preserved examples of defensive architecture.
To prevent counterfeiting, the 200-hryvnia banknote includes the following security features:
Watermark with the image of Lesya Ukrainka and the digital denomination "₴200," visible when held up to the light.
Security thread, embedded and visible in the light, with the microtext “₴200.”
Tilt effect – the denomination "200" changes color depending on the viewing angle, adding an extra layer of protection.
Optically variable ink – certain graphic elements change color from purple to green.
Elements detectable by touch, including the portrait of Lesya Ukrainka, the denomination, and markings for the visually impaired.
Differences between series:
- Series 2 includes basic security features and classic color scheme.
- Series 3 enhances the tilt effect and includes clearer microtext to improve security.
- Series 4 incorporates additional optically variable ink and improved graphic elements, providing even better protection against counterfeiting.
