Banknote Poland 500 Zloty (500 PLN) UNC
The 500 zloty banknote is an advanced means of payment, equipped with numerous technological security features. Its dimensions are 150 x 75 mm and its design refers to the figure of King Jan III Sobieski, symbolising stability and strength.
On the obverse of the banknote 500 zloty is a portrait of King Jan III Sobieski, one of the most eminent Polish rulers. Advanced security features were used, such as: a watermark with the portrait of the king and a digital denomination marking, a security (window) thread visible against the light, an angle effect: the numeral "500" changes colour depending on the angle of view, optically variable ink (the hussar's helmet changes colour from green to blue), tactile elements, including the portrait of the king, the emblem of Poland and markings for the blind.
The reverse features an illustration depicting a hussar's awl, which symbolises Polish military power from the Sobieski period. Additional security features include: iridescent paint (gold ornament visible at an angle), micro-printing: "RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA" and "NARODOWY BANK POLSKI", as well as latent elements visible under ultraviolet light and infrared security.
