The U.S. dollar note is the current denomination of the currency of the United States. The banknote has a size of 156 mm x 66 mm and a face value of $100.
Banknotes issued prior to 1990 do not contain a security thread or micro-printing, making them easier to counterfeit than newer versions.
The obverse shows a portrait of Benjamin Franklin and a security stripe, the Declaration of Independence, a pen-syng inkwell with a sewn-in image of the Liberty Bell, the inscription "THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the denomination.
Rewers show the Hall of Independence.
The reverse also shows the face value of the banknote.
