The Vienna Philharmonic has been produced by the Austrian Mint continuously since 1989. It is worth mentioning that this is the first coin to be issued in Euro currency. In addition, as with other coins from the Austrian Mint, the Vienna Philharmonic is a fully fledged legal tender with the guarantee of the Austrian government as to the legality, purity of the bullion and the origin of the metal.

Rewers depict the eight iconic instruments of the Austrian orchestra: four violins, cello, horn, bassoon and harp.
