The Beauty of the Universe - Supernova coloured 20 Euro Silver 2024 Proof
The coin was struck in Ag.925 proof and in a limited mintage of 30,000 pieces. The product comes from the renowned Austrian Mint. The 2024 silver coin does not have a minted weight or bullion proof. Each piece is housed in an individual, original packaging with a certificate of authenticity.
The obverse shows the Crab Nebula, the remnant of a supernova observed in 1054, which is located approximately 6,500 light years from Earth and is approximately 11x7 light years in size. The obverse also shows the minting year of the coin, the denomination and the inscription 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH'.
Rewers shows a coloured illustration of the Crab Nebula, based on an image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope.
