The New Zealand Proof Currency 2022 Proof Set is a product that has 7 coins along with Knowledge Baskets and Tane Mahutah as the main representative coins. The product was minted by B. H. Mayer's Kunstrpägeanstalt GmbH, commissioned by the New Zealand Post. The coins are guaranteed by the New Zealand government and are full legal tender in the country of the issuer. Importantly, the set has a limited mintage of just 750 minted pieces, as standard proof. Products are delivered in an elegant case.
Among the coins are:
- Baskets of Knowledge, Tane Mahutah, the currency was minted in Ag sample.999, weight 2x1/2 troy ounces, diameter 30mm and denomination 2x1 Dollar.
- Kōtuku - a white heron, the coin was struck in brass, weighing 11.25 grams, with a diameter of 26.50mm and a face value of 2 Dollars.
- Kiwi, the coin was minted in brass, weighing 8.60 grams, 23.00mm in diameter and denominated 1 Dollar.
- HMS Endeavour with Mount Taranaki (Egmont), the coin was minted in copper-nickel alloy, weight 5.60 grams, diameter 24.75mm and face value 50 Cents.
- Sculpture of the 18th century. of a Maori leader called "Pūkāki," the coin was minted from a copper-nickel alloy, weighing 4.45 grams, 21.75mm in diameter and with a face value of 20 Cents.
- A carved Maori mask or "kōruru" with Maori designs, the coin was struck in copper, weighing 3.70 grams, 20.50mm in diameter and with a face value of 10 Cents.
The designer of the obverse was Ian Rank-Broadley.
