Kiwi 2 oz Silver 2024 Gilded Black Proof High Relief Coin
The coin is minted in pure Ag.999 fine silver, weighing 2 troy ounces and measuring 50 mm in diameter, in black proof and high relief by BH Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt GmbH, commissioned by New Zealand Post. The coin is gilded in yellow gold.
Furthermore, the Kiwi 2024 has a limited mintage of only 250 pieces. Importantly, each piece is supplied in an exclusive case.
The obverse of the coin is decorated with the likeness of King Charles III. The obverse features information on the date of issue, country of issue, weight and purity of the bullion. The obverse was designed by Stephen J. Fuller
Rewers depicts a kiwi by the shore of Lake Rotoiti. The reverse also bears the inscription 'ROROA GREAT SPOTTED KIWI APTERYX MAXIMA' and the face value of the coin. The designer of the reverse was Stevan Stojanovic.
