The product depicts the Sea Serpent, which is a mythical creature often described in folklore and legends of various cultures as a giant snake or dragon that inhabits oceans and large bodies of water. The silver coin was struck from pure Ag bullion.999, weighing 1 troy ounce and 39 mm in diameter, in antiqued standard. The mintage of the coin is limited to only 500 pieces. Moreover, each currency in the series acts as a full-fledged means of payment.

Obverse depicts the coat of arms of Niue, as well as information about the weight, purity of the bullion, year of issue and face value of the coin. The whole is surrounded by images of other mythical creatures.
