Mishkenot Sha'ananim 1 oz. Silver 2016 is the 1st coin in the "Views of Jerusalem" series. "Mishkenot Sha'ananim" was the first Jewish neighborhood outside the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem, built by Moses Montefiore, in the late 19th century.
The coin is minted from Ag silver.999, weighing 1 troy ounce and 38.7 mm in diameter. The coin comes with individual, certified packaging. The mintage of the product is 3,600 pieces. In addition, this remarkable piece was produced by The Holy Land Mint. The coin comes with a guarantee from the Israeli government as to its legitimacy, purity of the bullion and the origin of the metal.
Obverse depicts a view of Jerusalem from the side of "Mishkenot Sha'ananim," designed by Osnat Eshel.
Reverse shows the coat of arms of Jerusalem with buildings, and the inscription "JERUSALEM OF GOLD". The reverse features information about the weight and purity of the bullion, as well as the logo of "The Holy Land Mint." The designer of the reverse was Yaacov Enyedi.
