Maui and the Sun: 2 x 1 Ounce Silver 2018 Coin Set is a set that depicts one of the main characters from Hawaiian mythology, Maui and the Sun. Maui possessed the qualities of a creator god. Coins have a denomination of 1 Dollar. The set has a limited edition of only 1,500 pieces. This set will be an excellent addition to any collection. The coin showing the Sun is inlaid with gold.

These bouillon qualities were produced from pure Ag bullion.999 with a diameter of 40 mm. The B Mint is responsible for the production of the coins. H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt GmbH, commissioned by the New Zealand Post. Coin set comes with original certified packaging.

Obverse shows the image of Queen Elizabeth II and information about the minting date, weight and purity of the bullion. The designer of the obverse was Ian Rank-Broadley.

On the reverse side one of the coins depicts an inlaid sun, while the other coin shows an image of Maui. The reverse side of the coins shows the face value. The reverse was designed by Dave Hakaraia and Elisabeth Vüllings.
