Lunar III: Year of the Buffalo 5 oz Silver 2021

The Year of the Buffalo bullion coin inspired by the Chinese calendar is the second installment of the Lunar III series. The coin, which is a continuation of The Perth Mint's renowned Lunar series, was struck in pure sterling silver, weighing five ounces and measuring 60.6 mm in diameter. Importantly, the Year of the Buffalo 2021 coin is guaranteed by the Australian government and is full legal tender in the country of the issuer.

Obverse the Year of the Buffalo silver coin is decorated with an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Jody Clark. The whole is surrounded by the inscription "ELIZABETH II" , "AUSTRALIA" and information about the face value, weight and minting sample.

Reverse includes an engraved portrait of a female buffalo with her young against a rustic landscape. The talented designer Ing Ing Jong is responsible for the exquisite image of the reverse.
