Kookaburra 10 oz Silver 2025
The Kookaburra silver investment coin is a product minted from pure silver with a fineness of Ag.9999, weighing 10 troy ounces. The coin featuring the titular bird belongs to the long-standing series of silver bullion coins of the same name. The issuer of the silver Kookaburra is The Perth Mint. As with all editions of the series, this one is a legal tender and is guaranteed by the Australian government regarding its authenticity, purity, and metal origin.
The Kookaburra series of silver coins has been produced since 1990. This is the thirty-sixth edition of the famous Australian Kookaburra series. Initially (except for the first release, which was minted in only one size – 1 ounce), the collection was minted in four different sizes: 1 kilogram, 10 ounces, 2 ounces, and 1 ounce. However, in 2010, the variety was limited to three sizes: 1 kilogram, 10 ounces, and 1 ounce.
It is also worth noting that the collection is distinguished by its annually changing design, which causes its value to increase year by year. In summary, the Kookaburra collection is an ideal solution for anyone looking for new, interesting assets for their portfolio.
Obverse of the coin depicts a portrait of King Charles III, designed by Daniel Thorne, along with information about the nominal value of the coin and the issuing country.
Reverse features a kookaburra sitting on a branch, along with information about the weight, silver purity, year of minting, as well as the letter "P," indicating that the producer of the coin is the Perth Mint. The designer was Sean Rogers.
