Kiwi colored 1 oz Silver 2022 Proof
Collector's numismatic Kiwi colored 1 oz Silver 2022 Proof is a unique coin from the limited Kiwi series issued since 2004. The 2022 product depicts a "Kiwi pukupuku," otherwise known as a small kiwi fly. The coin is minted from pure Ag silver.999, weighing 1 troy ounce and measuring 40 mm in diameter, by BH Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt GmbH, commissioned by New Zealand Post.
This unique coin is produced using a mirror stamp with colored elements. What's more, Kiwi 2022 has a limited run of only 2,500 units. Importantly, each piece comes in an exclusive case with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
Obverse the coins are decorated with the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a crown. The obverse shows the date of issue, country of issue, weight and purity of the bullion. The designer of the obverse was Ian Rank-Broadley.
Reverse depicts a colored adult kiwi along with a baby kiwi. The reverse also bears the inscription "LITTLE SPOTTED KIWI APTERYX OWENII" and the face value of the currency. The designer of the reverse was Stephen Fuller.
