The coin comes from the series Great Polish Economists and commemorates Michał Kalecki. Michal Kalecki lived from 1899 to 1970. He taught at the School of Planning and Statistics. Served as an advisor to the governments of several countries. He was a candidate for the Nobel Prize in Economics. He dealt especially with the theory of the conjuncture, problems of economic planning, as well as issues of national income.
