Congo: Prehistoric Life II - Suchomimus colored 1 ounce Silver 2024 is an investment coin, which is the second release in the second series of Prehistoric Life. The coin depicts a theropod dinosaur that lived about 112 million years ago, during the Early Cretaceous period. It was a relatively large dinosaur, reaching up to 11 meters in length and weighing around 3-5 tons. Suchomimus was distinguished by its long, narrow snout resembling that of a crocodile, suggesting it may have been adapted for catching fish, similar to modern crocodiles.
The silver coin featuring the image of Suchomimus is made of pure silver with a fineness of Ag.9999, weighing one troy ounce and with a diameter of 38.6 mm. Moreover, this bullion product has a limited mintage. It is also a legal tender, guaranteed by the government of the Republic of Congo.
Obverse of the silver coin features the coat of arms of the Republic of Congo along with information about the nominal value, weight, and fineness of the metal used.
Reverse shows the image of Suchomimus, the inscription "PREHISTORIC LIFE". The reverse also includes information about the year of minting.
