Obverse depicts the Bishop's Palace in Krakow with an image of Pope John Paul II in the Pope's Window. The obverse also features the emblem of the Republic of Poland, the inscription "As if anyone were to ask, Franciszkańska 3 - Św. John Paul II" and the coin's face value and minting year.
Reverse depicts a colored image of John Paul II in the Pope's Window, the papal coat of arms and the inscription "Bishop's Palace in Krakow".
