Big Five: Rhino 1 oz Silver 2020
The Big Five: Rhinoceros 1 oz Silver 2020 is the third edition of a collector's series called the Big Five. All coins in the Big Five collection (The Big Five) depict animal species belonging to Africa's Big Five (African elephant, lion, black rhino, African buffalo, and leopard). The limited edition coin with the image of a rhinoceros is a one ounce silver coin with a purity of Ag bullion.999.
The third coin in the collection was produced in 2020 and has a limited mintage of 15,000 pieces. The issuer of the silver product is the acclaimed mint, The South Africa Mint. The coin is in a representative package from which one can read additional information about both the coin and the animal itself.
Obverse shows the head of a rhinoceros and the inscription "SOUTH AFRICA", "BIG FIVE 2020" and the South African coat of arms.
On the reverse side two halves of the rhino's head are depicted. The reverse side bears the inscription "FIVE RAND" and information about the weight and purity of the bullion. By arranging several coins in one position, it is possible to depict a whole herd of rhinos.
