Australijski Emu coloured 1 oz Silver 2024
The Australian Emu coloured 2024 product is the next instalment of the exclusive Australian Emu series, which is in extraordinary, permanently growing demand among buyers, numismatists and enthusiasts of Australian wildlife around the globe. The coin showcases one of Australia's most iconic wildlife animals, which forms an important part of the continent's rich natural heritage. Also featured are the kangaroo, koala, kookaburra, dingo, Tasmanian devil or wombat. The Australian emu, together with the Australian kangaroo, occupy a key place on the Australian coat of arms. The animals symbolise progressiveness in line with the Australian motto - "never backwards, always forward".
The unrivalled Australian Emu coin series featuring Australia's endemic bird was launched in 2018 through a collaboration between Metal Market Europe and The Perth Mint. Metal Market Europe has been an international, widely recognised and respected dealer of investment and collectible products for over a decade. Since 2018, it has been the only entity worldwide to distribute flagship products minted specifically for Metal Market Europe - gold and silver Australian Emu coins. Each year, the unique collection of Australian Emu coins features limited editions issued in the highest purity gold and silver, making the investment and collector values highly desirable premium products.
The Perth Mint, the mint issuing the Australian Emu values, is a long-established entity, thriving for more than a century, producing stunning bullion and collector values that are among the most recognisable rarities for safe investment or asset diversification.
The Averse of the silver coin is enriched by the image of King Charles III. Significantly, this is the first time that the design features His Majesty the King on a coin in the Australian Emu series. All previous values have depicted a bust of the late Queen Elizabeth II wearing a crown, the world's longest reigning monarch. The obverse design also includes information about the issuing country and the face value of the coin, along with the initials of designer Dan Thorne.
Rewers of the coin show a colourful mature, protective male Emu, who is caringly guarding the safety of, recently hatched, unburnt emu babies. The father's piercing, aggressive gaze and distinctive silhouette position indicate possible impending danger amidst the natural Australian habitat, the bush steppe. The male as father presents both a concerned posture as well as full readiness to protect his offspring. The magnificent reverse design was created by the talented designer Sean Roger, who creates numismatic works for The Perth Mint. The year of issue is stamped on the reverse side, and there is also information about the purity of the bullion and the weight of the piece. In addition, the design has the security of an engraved 'P', which is the mint mark of The Perth Mint.
