Rwanda: Lunar - Year of the Rabbit 1 oz Silver 2023 Proof is a silver bullion coin, which is the seventh piece making up the Lunar series. Rwanda: Lunar is an African collection featuring lunar animals from the Chinese calendar. Of course, as with other lunar collections, the image of the animals changes annually. The year 2023 belongs to the rabbit, otherwise known as the cat. Chinese zodiac sign rabbit falls in 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023.

The coin is minted from pure Ag silver.999, with a weight of one troy ounce and a diameter of 40 mm, in standard proof. Importantly, the coin with the image of the rabbit as well as the entire series is guaranteed by the Rwandan government and is full legal tender in the country of the issuer. The coin is minted in a limited edition of 1,000 pieces.

Obverse the silver coin is decorated with Rwanda's emblem and information about the face value.

Reverse shows the figure of the titular rabbit and information about the weight of the coin, the sample of the bullion used and the year the coin was minted. In addition, on the reverse side is the inscription "YEAR OF THE RABBIT", "LUNAR OUNCE".
