Krugerrand 1 oz Silver 2017 (50. anniversary)
Krugerrand is one of the most recognizable bullion coins in the world. This investment-grade currency was made of silver with a weight of one troy ounce and a purity of Ag bullion.999. The silver Krugerrand was first produced in 2017 as an anniversary product. As of 2018, silver coins with the image of springbok have a typical investment character.
Silver Krugerrands are minted by South African mint Rand Refinery. They are a full-fledged means of payment, with a guarantee from the South African government as to the legality, purity of the bullion and the origin of the metal. It is interesting to note that although Krugerrands are a full-fledged means of payment, they have no monetary value. This means that the South African Reserve Bank is obliged to repurchase the coins at the prevailing bullion price. Krugerrand coins are an excellent investment of any capital. Due to their liquidity, both when looking to buy and sell are recommended to all investors. A jubilee version of the famous Krugerrand was minted to mark the 50th anniversary of the coin's issuance - the Premium Uncirculated version! This is the first time South Africa Mint has minted this coin in silver. Until now, collectors could only purchase the gold version. This version of the numismat was minted in 1,000,000 pieces.
The coin is delivered in a protective cap with a certificate of authenticity.
Obverse is decorated with a portrait of Paul Kruger and the inscription "South Africa" in Afrikaans and English.
Reverse depicts the springbok antelope, which is the symbol of South Africa. On either side of it are numbers representing the year of minting; below it is the inscription "Fynsilwer 1oz fine silver r1", indicating the pure silver content.
