Lucky Pig 5 Euro Silver 2023

The Lucky Pig 5 Euro Silver 2023 coin is another coin from the New Year Coins series, depicting the lucky pig, which was the most popular symbol of luck in Austria.

The expression "Schwein gehabt" means happiness in misfortune and probably has its origin in the 16th century.

The coin was struck in the Ag sample.925 and in a limited edition of 50,000 pieces. The product comes from the renowned Austrian Mint. The silver coin does not have a minted weight or bullion proof. Each piece is situated in its individual original packaging.

Obverse shows nine Austrian national coats of arms. On the obverse, there is also the coin's denomination and the inscription "REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH."

Reverse depicts a pig's head, four-leaf clovers, the inscription " SCHWEIN GEHABT" and the year the coin was minted.
