The Pachycephalosaurus colored 3 Euro Copper 2022 coin is a coin from the Supersaurs series, with a face value of 3 Euros. Pachycephalosaurus is the eleventh coin in the series.
Pachycephalosaurus was a herbivorous dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous in North America 70 million years ago. In Greek, the dinosaur's name means "thick-headed lizard," which was 25cm thick. The height of the dinosaur was up to 4.5m, and the weight was up to 1,000 kilograms.
The coin comes from the renowned Austrian Mint. The 2022 copper coin has no minted weight or bullion sample. The currency is legal tender in Austria.
Obverse shows 12 likenesses of prehistoric animals from the Supersaurs series. The obverse also features the coin's denomination and the inscription "REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH."
Reverse depicts a colored, running Pachycephalosaurus. The reverse side bears the inscription "PACHYCEPHALOSAURUS" and the year the coin was struck. The reverse of the coin glows in the dark.
