The Police £5 Copper 2023 is a unique value celebrating the English rock band " The Police" founded in London in 1977. Appearing on the British music scene, they played a style of rock inspired by punk, reggae and jazz. Their 1978 debut album, Outlandos d'Amour, reached 6. place in the UK album chart thanks to the singles "Roxanne" and "Can't Stand Losing You."
The beat valor is of copper-nickel alloy, weighing 28.21 grams, 38.61 mm in diameter. The mintage of the currency is unlimited. In addition, this remarkable piece was produced by The Royal Mint. The coin is guaranteed by the UK government as to its legality, purity of the bullion and origin of the metal, and is full legal tender in the issuer's country.
Obverse shows the likeness of King Charles III of Great Britain wearing a crown, the inscription "CHARLES III∙D∙G∙REX∙F∙D" and the denomination and year, designed by Martin Jennings.
Reverse the coin is inspired by the cover of the album "Every Breath You Take" and depicts members of the band "The Police" and the inscription "THE POLICE". Heena Glover is responsible for the reverse design.
