NBP Banknote Battle of Warsaw 1920 20 zloty
Jubilee banknote "Battle of Warsaw 1920" is a collector's offer of the National Bank of Poland. This unique product commemorates the event that was the Battle of Warsaw, which is also known as the Miracle on the Vistula River. To summarize, the Miracle on the Vistula was a decisive clash, fought from August 13-25, 1920, between Soviet Russia and Poland. The skirmish ended with the victory of the Polish troops, which preserved the independence of the resurgent Republic of Poland.
The banknote has a size of 150 x 77 mm, a face value of PLN 20 and is produced in a limited edition of no more than 60,000 pieces. The general design of the 20 zloty "Battle of Warsaw 1920" banknote was presented in the vertical. In addition, a number of safety features were used in its production. The main implemented security features include: microprinting of special characters (e.g. NBP mark, number 20), Aster4Note system, Mirage4Note system, watermark or optical security (visible under UV light). The rich design of the banknote, which should be mentioned, is filled with symbolic and direct references to the "Miracle on the Vistula". Thus, the front of the banknote features such symbols as a portrait of Jozef Pilsudski with a saber, an outline of the Warsaw skyline inspired by Kazimierz Mankowski's painting "The Year 1920" or the Cross of Valour, established in 1920. On the other hand, the other side of the banknote contains such details as an image of the 1918-1921 War Commemorative Medal or a stylized fragment of Jerzy Kossak's painting "Miracle on the Vistula River.".
