African Wildlife: Somalia Elephant 1/25 oz Gold 2024
The Somali Elephant gold coin is the next instalment of a series created in 1999 called the Somali Elephant. Interestingly, the first copies of the 1999 series were minted as coins guaranteed by the Zambian government. The copies minted after 2003 have a different guarantor, which is the Somali government. In addition, the Somali Elephant silver and gold coin series is part of the African Wildlife collector programme. The 2024 gold coin was produced by the German precious metals producer Bayerisches Hauptmünzamt, with a weight of 1/25 troy ounce and a bullion purity of Au.9999. Furthermore, the African Wildlife: Somalia Elephant coins, which were produced after 2004, are legal tender and have a guarantee from the Somali Government as to the legality, purity of the bullion and the origin of the metal. The Averse depicts the Somali coat of arms, two leopards supporting a shield with a star, together with information on the year of mintage and the denomination of the coin. The Rewers shows a sermonised Somali elephant against a natural environment. Additionally, the reverse side features the inscription 'AFRICAN WILDLIFE', 'ELEPHANT' and information on the weight and purity of the bullion.Do you need help?
