Canada: Pingualuit Crater - Crystal Eye of Nunavik $50 colored Silver 2023 Proof is a unique coin that depicts the geological marvel that is "Pingualuit Crater Lake," which was formed when a meteorite struck the Earth about 1.4 million years ago.

The reverse of the coin features a coloured space view of the Pingualuit crater lake on the Ungava peninsula in Nunavik, Quebec. In contrast, the second image, a meteorite on a collision course with prehistoric Canada and over the final impact site, reveals itself only under ultraviolet light.

The coin is minted from Ag silver.9999, weighing 157.6 grams and 65.25 mm in diameter, with standard proof. The copy comes with individual, certified packaging. The mintage of the product is 2,500 pieces. In addition, this remarkable piece was produced by The Royal Canadian Mint. The coin is guaranteed by the Government of Canada as to its legality, purity of the bullion and origin of the metal, and is a full-fledged means of payment in the country of the issuer.

Obverse depicts the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II, the inscription "1952-2022" and includes the year and face value of the coin, designed by Susanna Blunt .

Reverse shows a colored space view of the crater lake and the inscription "CANADA". The reverse was designed by Neil Hameling.
