The Big Five II: Rhino 1 oz Silver 2022 coin is the third installment of the second series, the Big Five II. The first series was very popular with collectors and buyers. The limited series of the Big Five of Africa is made up of animals - elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo. The coin shows the rhinoceros. The animals are mainly herbivores.

The silver bullion coin was struck from pure Ag.999 bullion, weighing 1 troy ounce and measuring 38.73 mm in diameter.

This unique piece has been produced by the renowned mint, The South Africa Mint, and is official legal tender in the issuing country. The entire series is guaranteed by the South African government as to the legality, purity of the bullion and the origin of the metal. The Silver Rhino has a mintage of only 15 000 pieces. Individual pieces come in a presentable wrapper from which additional information about both the coin and the animal itself can be read.

The obverse shows the head of a rhino and the inscription "SOUTH AFRICA", "BIG FIVE 2022" and the South African coat of arms. On the reverse the two halves of the rhino's head are depicted. The reverse bears the inscription 'FIVE RAND' and information about the weight and purity of the bullion. By arranging several coins in a single position, the entire herd of rhinos can be depicted.
