Banknote NBP Fryderyk Chopin 2009 20 zł
The NBP Fryderyk Chopin 2009 20 zloty banknote is a collector's item offered by the National Bank of Poland. This unique product is the result of a successful collaboration between the National Bank of Poland and the Polish Security Printing Works.
The product commemorates 200. anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Polish composer and pianist - Frederic Chopin
The banknote has a size of 138 x 69 mm, a face value of PLN 20 and a limited mintage of up to 120,000 pieces.
Obverse the banknote shows a landscape with distinctive willows and a fragment of the score of the Etude in F minor, Op. 10 No. 9.
Reverse depicts a portrait of Frédéric Chopin seen in profile. The left side of the banknote shows the family mansion, while the right side presents a reproduction of the first printing of the Mazurka in B-flat major, Op. 7 No. 1 with the pianist's autograph. The reverse side also shows the face value of the bill.
