The collectible numismatic Kiwi 1 oz Silver 2025 Specimen is a highly valued coin that forms part of the limited Kiwi series issued since 2004. The 2025 product features a pair of *Apteryx rowi* kiwi along with their egg, symbolizing the unique characteristics of this species, such as the shared parental care by both the male and female. The chicks often remain in the family group for several years. The coin is also adorned with the traditional *kowhaiwhai* pattern, highlighting the iwi people's connection to the *rowi*. This pattern was provided by Fayne Robinson from Te Rūnanga o Makaawhio.
The coin is struck from pure Ag.999 silver, weighing 1 troy ounce and having a diameter of 40 mm, in specimen finish by BH Mayer’s Kunstprägeanstalt GmbH, commissioned by New Zealand Post.
Furthermore, the Kiwi 2025 has a limited mintage of only 5,000 pieces. Each coin is delivered in an exclusive case.
