Silver coin 100. anniversary of the discovery of the complex of prehistoric strip flint mines "Krzemionki" 50 zloty Silver 2022 is an interesting numismatic proposal presented by the National Bank of Poland. Valor celebrates 100. the anniversary of the discovery of the mine in Krzemionki, which is also known as Krzemionki Opatowskie, in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. The discovery was made in 1922 by geologist Jan Samsonowicz. Striped flints are mined in the mine.
This is a piece that was made of sterling silver Ag.999, weighing 62.20 grams.
What's more, the silver coin has a strictly limited mintage of up to 7,000 minted pieces and the whole thing comes in an exclusive case with a certificate of authenticity.
Obverse silver coin depicts the image of the white eagle, which is on the emblem of the Republic of Poland. The obverse bears the inscription "THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND 2022", as well as information about the coin's face value.
Reverse shows a prehistoric miner working in a mine. At the bottom of the coin you can see the striped flint. On the reverse side there is an inscription "100th ANNIVERSARY OF THE DISCOVERY OF THE PRADZIOUS FERTILIZED CRUST MINES "KRZEMIONKI"".
