The coins are minted with copper-nickel alloy and bromine-aluminium.The coins have denominations - 2 Dollar, 1 Dollar, 25 Cent, 10 Cent, 5 Cent. In order of highest face value, the products have weight and diameter: 6.99 g and 28 mm, 6.27 g and 26.5 mm, 4.4 g and 23.88 mm, 1.75 g and 18.03 mm, 3.95 g and 21.2 mm.
This extraordinary set contains 5 types of coins of 25 pieces each in wrap rolls packed in the original case. The pieces have been produced by The Royal Canadian Mint, in an edition of 5,000. The coins are guaranteed by the Government of Canada as to their legality, purity of bullion and origin of metal, and are full legal tender in the issuer's country.
The obverses depict the likeness of King Charles III, as designed by Steven Rosati, and the year of issue .
On the reverses the coins depict, in turn, the 'Common Loon' duck, the polar bear, the 'Caribou' reindeer, the 'Bluenose' sailing ship, and the beaver. The reverses also feature the denomination.
