Spain: Old Town of Salamanca 2 Euro 2025 is a commemorative coin dedicated to the historic center of Salamanca, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The coin was issued by Spain as part of a series celebrating the country’s cultural heritage.
The coin is made of bi-metallic material – a nickel-brass core surrounded by a copper-nickel ring. It weighs 8.5 g and has a diameter of 25.75 mm.
Obverse features characteristic architectural elements of Salamanca, including sculptural details of the temple. The obverse also includes the inscriptions "ESPANA", "SALAMANCA", and the year of issue – 2025.
Reverse depicts a map of Europe, symbolizing the unity of the Eurozone countries. The reverse design was created by Luc Luycx and includes the denomination "2 EURO".
