Nicolaus Copernicus 50 zloty Silver 2023 High Relief is a silver collector coin of the National Bank of Poland. This unique product commemorates the 550th anniversary of the birth of Nicolaus Copernicus, an eminent astronomer, creator of the heliocentric theory, physician, economist. He is the author of one version of the law governing the circulation of money - "Inferior money always displaces superior money." The currency additionally features amber, which is visible on the obverse and reverse sides.
The silver coin "Nicolaus Copernicus: was minted in 2023 Ag bullion sample.999, weighing 62.2 grams and 45 mm in diameter, in high relief standard. This collector's item has a strictly limited edition of only up to 7,000 pieces. What's more, the coin has been secured in a dedicated cap, and the whole coin comes in a wooden case with an accompanying certificate of authenticity. Each coin has an accompanying folder.
On the obverse depicts an image of the solar system with amber based on Nicolaus Copernicus' work "De revolutionibus orbium coelestium." The obverse bears the inscription "RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA 2023" and 50 ZŁ" and the image of an eagle, established for the emblem of the Republic of Poland.
On the reverse side features a fragment of the monument to Nicolaus Copernicus in Warsaw and a stylized image of the sun's rays. The reverse side bears the inscription "MIKO£AJ KOPERNIK".
