Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt GmbH, commissioned by New Zealand Post.

Obverse coins are decorated with the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a crown. On the obverse there is information about weight, purity of bullion, date of issue, country of issuer. The designer of the obverse was Ian Rank-Broadley.
Reverts depict three different sports along with the Olympic Games logo, fern and NZ Team logo. On the reverse side there is information about the nominal value of the currency and the year of minting. Nicky Dyer is responsible for the project.
