The coin is minted from copper-nickel alloy, weighing 28.28 grams, 38.61 mm in diameter. The mintage of the coin is unlimited. In addition, this remarkable piece was produced by The Royal Mint. Obverse shows the likeness of King Charles III of Great Britain and the denomination and year, designed by Martin Jennings.
Reverse the coin features an image of Mary Seacole and is based on an authentic photograph of the woman. On the reverse is the inscription "MARY SEACOLE". The designer of the reverse was Sandra Deiana.
