The product has been struck in aluminium bronze, weighing 13.50 grams and with a maximum diameter of 30.70 mm. The Averse of the coin is decorated with an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark. The whole is surrounded by the inscription "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA" and information about the face value and year of the coin.
Rewers depict the coat of arms of Australia and the inscription "AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP". The reverse features an engraved letter 'P', indicating the mint of The Perth Mint.
