NBP "1050th anniversary of the Baptism of Poland" 20 PLN 2016
The NBP Banknote "1050th Anniversary of the Baptism of Poland" 20 zloty 2016 is a collector's offer of the National Bank of Poland. This unique product commemorates the 1050th anniversary of the Baptism of Poland. The banknote has a size of 144 mm x 77 mm, a nominal value of PLN 20 and a limited edition of up to 35,000 pieces. Krystian Michalczuk is responsible for the design of the banknote. The Averse depicts an engraving of Gniezno Cathedral and Dobrova's chalice. The obverse features the inscription "NARODOWY BANK POLSKI", as well as information on the nominal value of the banknote. The Rewers of the banknote feature images of Mieszko I and Dobrawa according to photographs from the collection of the National Museum in Wrocław. The reverse bears the inscription "1050 ANNIVERSARY OF THE CHRISTIAN CHRISTMAS OF POLAND" and information on the face value of the currency. In addition to its collector value, attention should be drawn to the security features used. The main security features implemented include: series and numbering visible in daylight and UV light, angle effect, microprint, optically variable ink, watermark, window thread or iridescent stripe.
