Niue: Icons of Inspiration - Ludwig van Beethoven 1 oz Silver 2024 is the tenth coin in the renowned Icons of Inspiration series. This series commemorates outstanding figures who have made an everlasting mark on human history, inspiring generations with their creativity and achievements. Previous coins in this collection featured, among others, Galileo Galilei, Leonardo da Vinci, Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, the Wright Brothers, Marie Skłodowska-Curie, Thomas Edison, and Johannes Gutenberg.

The product depicts Ludwig van Beethoven – a brilliant composer and pianist, born in 1770 in Bonn, Germany. Beethoven is considered one of the most significant figures in the history of classical music. His works, combining elements of Classicism with Romanticism, influenced the development of music worldwide. Among his most famous works are the 9th Symphony (with the final "Ode to Joy") and the Moonlight Sonata.

The silver coin is minted from pure Ag.999 fine silver, weighs 1 troy ounce, and has a diameter of 39 mm. The mintage is limited to just 100 pieces. Furthermore, each coin in the series serves as a legal tender.

Obverse features the image of the goddess of liberty, the coat of arms of Niue, as well as information about the weight, purity of the silver, year of issue, and nominal value of the coin.

Reverse shows Ludwig van Beethoven seated at a piano with sheet music in hand, with a concert hall visible in the background, reflecting the venues where his most famous works were performed. The coin also bears the inscription “LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN.” The reverse design was created by Joel Iskowitz, combining detail with symbolism to reflect the spirit of the great composer.
