NBP banknote "Protection of the Polish eastern border" 20 zloty
The 20 zloty NBP banknote "Protecting the Polish Eastern Border" is a collector's item offered by the National Bank of Poland. This unique product is the result of a successful collaboration between the National Bank of Poland and the Polish Security Printing Works. The banknote was issued in recognition of border guards, police officers and soldiers of the Polish Army guarding the Polish borders and Polish independence.
The banknote has a size of 150 mm x 77 mm, a face value of PLN 20 and a limited mintage of up to 80,000 pieces. Agnieszka Próchniak is responsible for the banknote design.
Obverse the banknote depicts a fragment of Poland, a helicopter and a landscape belonging to the eastern border area of the Republic of Poland, and the image of the white eagle, which is on the emblem of the Republic of Poland. The obverse bears the inscription "NARODOWY BANK POLSKI", as well as information on the bill's face value.
Reverse the banknote shows a fragment of Poland's eastern border and a Polish soldier and a Border Guard officer. The reverse side bears the inscription "OCHRONY POLSKIEJ GRANICY WSCHODNIEJ" and "NARODOWY BANK POLSKI", as well as information about the nominal value of the currency.
In addition to the collector's value, note the security features used. The main implemented security features include: series and numbering visible in daylight and UV light, angular effect, microprint, optically variable ink, watermark, window thread or iridescent stripe.
