Inspired by the sculptures at Moat Bridge in Hampton Court Palace, the coin symbolizes the famous union of Henry VIII with his third wife, Jane Seymour. The Panther on Moat Bridge is the last royal beast that visitors encounter before entering the palace.
The entire series will consist of 10 coins depicting various animals: The Lion of England, The Bull of Clarence, The Tudor Dragon, The Greyhound of Richmond, The Royal Dragon, The Yale of Beaufort, The Seymour Unicorn, The Queen’s Panther, The Queen’s Lion, and the Seymour Panther.
The coin is minted from platinum of Pt.9995 fineness, weighs 1 troy ounce, and has a diameter of 32.69 mm. The product has an unlimited mintage. Moreover, this extraordinary piece was produced by The Royal Mint.
Obverse depicts the likeness of King Charles III of Great Britain along with the denomination, designed by Martin Jennings.
Reverse features one of the Tudor Kingdom's beasts – the Queen’s Panther, along with the inscription "QUEEN'S PANTHER" "2025". The reverse was designed by David Lawrence.
